Judas the founder is a computer scientist, currently living in the USA in the state of California. While he founded J.T Safaris as a personal and purely private enterprise, he is a humanitarian enthusiast and global change maker purely driven by Altruism. He therefore participated in the founding of Conflicts & Disaster Control International, a humanitarian organization registered in both Uganda and the USA. It is aimed at fostering and preserving the values of humanity, harmonious living, unity in diversity, cultural integration, and improving household livelihoods in Uganda.
J.T Safaris Inspiration by Judas
Having grown up from a rural village along Murchison Falls National Park in Masindi, I used to see tourist cars pass by my village center at high speeds carrying tourists. The cars would sometimes stop, and as children, we would get a chance to greet tourists and get gifts. It’s from this regular exposure that I developed a vision while young to establish a Safaris resort in my community. The vision however overly developed and widened overtime beyond what before I had fully embarked on its implementation. KIGARAGARA village was chosen to be the main home for J.T Safaris. The site location is uniquely & directly integrated with the rural, local, and ordinary community. About 8 acres of land have so far been procured for the it’s, half a mile from Murchison Falls National Park main gate via Masindi. The site land is not in an urban center nor inside the National Park itself, but in the village with local people. J.T Safaris will have similar branches across the country in the long run. On the site location I intend to; build cottages, a camping site, a woodlot, a distinguished one stop Centre for Arts and crafts, tennis courts, and a Zoo once approved by Uganda World Life Authority and Uganda Tourism Board, among others. Once established, the site will provide direct employment opportunities to the locals, market for locally crafted and handmade arts and crafts, waist beads made by women local groups & associations, traditional & monumental artifacts, other locally made products, and promote general community tourism. We intend to set up woodlot, plant trees both in the compound and along site boundaries. In addition to improving the environment and making profits for the company, this will create more employment opportunities to the locals and provide market for their tree seedlings. Detailed elaboration of JT Safaris is documented in my Book (To be published soon)
J.T Safaris MISSION
1500 Years’ old tree, protect and preserve nature & environment for future generations.
Emergency of JT Safaris
The existential root problem of poor service delivery by similar enterprises in the country and lack of such an enterprise in my local community is one of the core factors that formed the basis upon which J.T Safaris was founded in the rural Masindi.
While J.T Safaris is a private entity, its establishment in the region will revamp its economy and improve household livelihoods of the locals in the rural community. However, the prerequisites to the commencement of this project include establishment of an elevated water tank & Reservoir, and installation of electricity on the site. Due to lack of enough resources, these have not been installed yet and thus hampering the progress of this wonderful project.
J.T Safaris intends to install an elevated water tank & Reservoir on the site. The tank will house over 20000 liters of water, and these will be sufficient to supply the entire site. Consultations have already been made with the water experts, and a quotation of $9,600 has been provided. About $10,000 will be enough to enable J.T Safaris to excavate a borehole and install an elevated 20,000 liters` tank/reservoir.Â
