Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day early with breakfast at 7 AM. Check out of your residence and begin your journey south from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The park is home to over 360 mountain gorillas, a variety of wildlife, and hundreds of bird species. Gorilla trekking here offers a unique opportunity to explore the dense forest in search of these endangered creatures. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, check in, have lunch, and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, pick up your packed lunch and drive to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. You will be assigned to a group and a specific gorilla family to track. An armed ranger will lead your group into the jungle, staying in contact with the monitoring team to locate the gorillas. The trek can take between 3 to 7 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find the gorilla family, you’ll have ample time to observe them in their natural habitat—playing, feeding, resting, and interacting. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, check out, and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, approximately a 2-4 hour drive. Check in at your booked hotel, have lunch, and then embark on a game drive along different trails in the park. You will have a great opportunity to see various animals such as waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, and numerous bird species. After the drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Fort Portal
Have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and enjoy a 2-hour morning boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. While on the boat, you will see a variety of animals such as hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, and kobs. You will also have the chance to view different kinds of birds like kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans on the banks and in trees.
After the boat ride, head straight to Fort Portal, check into at the hotel for lunch. Later in the afternoon, visit Amabere Caves and Mahoma Waterfalls. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Hot springs visit and Departure
Have breakfast, check out of the hotel, and visit Sempaya Hot Springs before heading back to Kampala. You will be dropped off at your place of residence.
